Brea’s New Sport Park ~ It’s A Party & You’re Invited!

Mark your calendar and plan on attending,  it’s a great event, the long awaited grand opening of our brand new Sports Park at 3333 Birch Street, the corner of Birch and Valencia at the eastern side of Brea.

The site is 26 improved acres and home to baseball and softball fields in addition to batting cages and a pratice field. Like soccer? Check out the facilities here.  Or maybe the basketball courts, it’s all here. There’s even a playground and concession areas, something for everyone.

Events begin Saturday at 9:00 a.m.! Help celebrate with your friends and neighbors.

The site was purchased from UNOCAL, a total of 39 acres. Twenty-six to be used for the sports park and the remaining portion for the site of a future school.

Brea’s a wonderful community located in Northern Orange County, population is about 39,000 residents.

That right Sunday, August 3rd it’s time for the whole family to enjoy the sounds of the Pacific Symphony and enjoy the outdoors on a late Sunday afternoon.

Come early for a good seat, (some seats are reserved) some are first come first served. Family activities begin at 5:30 PM with the Children’s Musical Workshop and entertainment. The Pacific Symphony begins at 7:00 PM.

• General Admission is FREE ~ Over 700 seats are available on a first come-first-serve basis.
  Reserved Seating is Available ~ In a variety of Ways:
• Individual Reserve ~ $35 and you will receive a $20 Yard House Gift Certificate

One of my favorite eateries is the  Carvao Grill,  and Coli Piaggio is the proprietor and a wonderful host to all!  The Fitness Grillis just a short walk while still in the downtown area. Another great Brea business with a heart, pay a visit to Jo Jo’s Pizza Kitchen on Brea Blvd. and see why they’re special.

Time,  4:30 to 8:00 p.m. Plenty of parking in down town Brea in the parking garages on Birch Street.

Yes attendance is free, come and enjoy the live entertainment.  However the food “tastes” are available by purchasing wrist bands for $10 each.  Samplings will be provided by some of  Brea’s local eateries, some of the local favorites and few of the new ones around town.

Local business are also featured at the table top expo showing their wares and services.

This fun event is not to be confused with the “Brea Fest” held annually in August (August 15th this year) at the Brea Civic Center. The downtown Brea Promonade is also home to Brea’s Certified Market each Tuesday.
