Brea ~ Real Estate Market Update for December 2007 & Year End Real Estate Report

Brea is a community with a balance of residential housing, business and commercial properties. The City is well  known for excellence in education. 

Single family sales activity for December ~

150 re-sale homes for sale in the city, down slightly from 156/161/156 / in the last 3 months.

  • 6 pending sales, in escrow, compared to 9/9/ 6/8/ 22 in prior months.
  • 8 homes closed escrow in December, fewer than 13/13/23/15  respectively in prior months.
  • 32 homes were removed from the market, listings expired, cancelled or withdrawn for the month compared to 34/26/32//31/ prior months.

Condominimum sales activity for December ~

  • Condos/town-homes range from $309,000.00 to 548,000.00
  • 34 condo/town-homes currently for sale, compared to 34/29/30/28 in preceding months.
  • 0 pending sales went into escrow in December as compared to 3/5/2/5/7 preceding months.
  • 3 properties closed escrow in December compared to 3/2/4/6/4, respectively in preceding months.

The majority of homes for sale in Brea are  priced from the upper $600,000 range to the upper $800,000 range. Currently there are 19 homes for sale in Brea over $1,000.000. There are a few new custom homes in excess of $2,900,000.
