South OC Loses a Local Landmark
South Orange County ~ Now you see it, now you don’t. We lost a piece of recent history with the demolition of the 40 foot Leisure World Globe last week in Laguna Hills.
The steel and fiberglass structure was originally constructed in 1963 and stood as a landmark for almost 45 years. Not suprisingly, many of the South County residents were dissapointed to learn of the destruction.
